Thank you to everyone who has supported our events in 2024. Our new programme for 2025 has now been finalised and details can be seen on the Events 2025 page. We hope this will prove to be another varied programme and be well supported and enjoyed as always.

We welcome suggestions from members for future topics and speakers, so if anyone has ideas , please email them to the Chairman.

MEMBERSHIP FEES:

Forms are also available at our talks and fees for 2025 are £10 per member which entitles you to free entry to most of our events. Donations and new members always welcomed.

The Society was formed over forty years ago, in 1982, by a group of people who believed there was a need to study the fascinating history of the villages nestling on the Yelverton side of Dartmoor, and to make an effort to record as much of that history as possible while the places existed free of development and the people remembered the past.

Each month (except December) we invite a speaker to present a talk on their own specialist subject. During the Summer months, we run outdoor events with a visit to a place or location of interest for a tour or guided walk. Details on membership etc are on the ‘About’ page.
